Health and Well-Being - Obesity and Yoga

Health and Well-Being - Obesity and Yoga Health and Well-being in the primary school setting is so important. The topic being taught in school's will be such a good influence on the young children, to start them looking after themselves properly from a young age. Within the Welsh Educational system, one of the new proposed ideas of Donaldson (2015) was to increase healthy, self-assured pupils to help them fell better in themselves which will boost the way that they learn.  When children feel better within themselves, it means they feel better when working as they have more energy and life to them. Teaching Children in Nature

Teaching Children in Nature Nowadays children are beginning to forget about playing outside and instead have all the new modern technologies.  Louv , R (2006) found in their research that many aspects of society today such as computers, TV, Phones and Games separates children from nature. Also, their research suggested that ‘nature is something to watch, to consume, to wear – to ignore.”  Children are growing up not interested in going outside and playing with their friends, instead choose to stay in and talk to their friends through different forms of technology. Mental health that does not get treated well and without good support, means the suffering for the individual is worse, as they don’t know what to do. If mental health is treated correctly and they receive the right support, that means they can carry on with a normal life. Also, professionals can learn more about different kinds of mental health and have a better understanding to give the help that people need.   A  person's  mental health is most affected through  the young stages of  their  lives, right the way through to adulthood.
